Poll: Did the Dubs get a helping hand to All-Ireland gold last year?

As the champions prepare for their first championship game of the year, Ewan MacKenna has a loaded question… and he’s not afraid to shoot.

WHAT BETTER TO do on a Friday afternoon than stir it up a little before the weekend in which our All-Ireland champions Dublin make their glorious return to the championship.

But after a 2011 season where Joe McQuillan seemed to be the only man allowed to referee their games; where so many controversial decisions went their way mostly on the field, but also off it in the case of Diarmuid Connolly; where ‘The Sunday Game’ told us that the nation was celebrating the win; where Christy Cooney told us we should all be happy and this was good for the game; and where so much marketing and money went into capitalising on the victory, we ask you this…

Did the GAA do everything in their power to make sure Dublin got their All Ireland in 2011?

Poll Results:

No way (189)
Yes, Ger (149)
Not sure (23)
