WESTMEATH HURLING MANAGER Brian Hanley has shown faith in the players that beat Antrim for Sunday’s Leinster SHC quarter-final against Galway.
The Lake County mounted second-half shock with just 14 men in the preliminary round after corner-back Conor Jordan was sent off for a second yellow, but he returns alongside Adam Price and Paul Fennell for the trip to Cusack Park.
Niall O’Brien, who pointed twice from play as well as six frees against the Saffrons, again leads the attack from corner-forward.
Galway boss Anthony Cunningham is expected to name his starting line-up after training tonight, with injury doubts hanging over two of his star names following Monday evening’s challenge match against Clare.
Joe Canning suffered a recurrence of the shoulder injury which ruled him out of the majority of the Division 1A league campaign and, although the extent of the problem is still not fully known, he could find himself on the sidelines for a few more weeks.
David Collins’s participation is also in doubt due to an ankle injury, while midfielder Barry Daly (groin) is still recovering.
