ATLETICO MADRID STAR Antoine Griezmann has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of this season, as the forward continues to be linked with a move to La Liga rivals Barcelona.
The World Cup winner has spent the past five seasons with Atletico, securing the Uefa Europa League, Uefa Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup.
Griezmann has scored 133 goals in 252 appearances in all competitions during his stay in the Spanish capital, but has failed to secure either La Liga or the Champions League since arriving from Real Sociedad in 2014.
Atletico lost the 2016 Champions League final on penalties to bitter rivals Real Madrid at San Siro and have finished runners-up in La Liga to Barcelona over the last two seasons under Diego Simeone.

“It’s been an incredible five years,” the player said in a video posted on social media confirming his departure on Tuesday night.
“Thank you very much for everything, from the bottom of my heart.”
The 28-year-old, who earned World Cup glory in Russia last summer, has long been linked with a move to Camp Nou with numerous reports suggesting Griezmann could be on his way to the Catalan giants this summer.
