FORMER IRELAND INTERNATIONAL Tony Cascarino is in good condition after undergoing brain surgery yesterday.
The 55-year-old, who represented the Boys in Green 88 times between 1985-1999, required the operation to remove a tumour “the size of a golf ball” and spent 12 hours under the knife on Thursday.
Ex-Millwall, Aston Villa, Celtic, Chelsea and Marseille striker Cascarino works as a pundit for TalkSPORT these days, and they have tweeted to say he is awake and “doing well”.
It’s great news as Big Cas had expressed concern about having the procedure during an interview with Paul Kimmage in the Irish Independent last month.
In the same article, he added that there is a chance he may lose his hearing and that his speech may become slurred, however.
We wish him a full and speedy recovery.
