RONAN O’GARA IS IN line for a surprise move to southern hemisphere rugby, according to the Irish Examiner this morning.
The Corkman could swap his role at Racing 92 for an opportunity at Super Rugby side, the Canterbury Crusaders.
An IRFU source is ’99% sure’ that O’Gara will make the decision to move next season and become Scott Robertson’s assistant on a two-year deal.
O’Gara has indicated he’d love to take over as head coach at Thomond Park at some point in the future but is keen to earn experience elsewhere first.

He has a contract in the French capital until 2019.
Crazy that a club as big as United haven’t gotten anybody better than Fred and McTominay to anchor midfield.
@Aidan Prior: Crazy that what Roy Keane has to say on matter gets equal billing with actual decision in story and headline.
@Brian Murphy: The new season isn’t 2 days old and the name Roy Keane is already upsetting some people on here.
@Leonard Barry: well he’s a traitor but he’s right on this
@Leonard Barry: You’ve well and truly missed my point. He can say what he wants about it and I have zero issue with the point he makes but not everything he says is worthy of a headline.
2-0 to Brighton. Ronaldo to do another runner at half time
@ᴛᴏᴍ49: Stonewall penalty waved away by the ref. Old Trafford officials strike again
Maybe they should sign that Welbeck lad …best player on the pitch so far…
There’s the unbeaten record gone?
This is what happens when you start another season with McFred. Long season ahead.
Lol
Well that’s another season written off
They should never had brought him back. Not a team player.
