IF RANGERS MANAGER Pedro Caixinha thought a comfortable 3-1 win over Ross County on Sunday would lead to a handy post-match interview, he couldn’t have been more mistaken.
The Portuguese manager had just watched Alfredo Morelos — one of 10 new faces at Ibrox — grab a brace in the game, and suggested that he was now in charge of the best squad in Scottish football.
Ex-Celtic striker and BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton, was not impressed, asking Caixinha if he really believed that.
“I always believe that,” the 46-year old replied.
But Sutton wouldn’t let it go, pressing Caixinha on which Celtic player would not get into the Rangers team.
“I am not comparing my squad with any other squad.
When I have one squad, even if I am manager of Ross County, I will say I have the best squad and the best players because I believe and I trust myself and I work with them.
“I don’t care about Celtic. I care about Rangers. I’m Rangers manager not Celtic manager.”
