LIKE A FOOTBALL equivalent of Jedward, Slavek and Slavko will be found bouncing around this year’s tournament with little purpose other than looking slightly ridiculous.
UEFA have clearly decided that twins are the way forward for championships being held in two countries as the Polish and Ukraine duo follow on from 2008′s siblings Trix and Flix.
Personally, we prefer the older ones, although in truth there doesn’t look to have ever been a huge amount of thought put into the concept. Anyway, take a look back at 30 years’ worth:
1980 – Pinocchio
1984 – Peno
1988 – Berni
1992 – Rabbit
1996 – Goliath
2000 – Benelucky
2004 – Kinas
2008 – Trix and Flix
Which is you favourite? Are they all awful? Do they actually serve a purpose? Have your say below.
