8 - Federer’s victory moves him one clear of Pete Sampras and William Renshaw (amateur era) at the top of the men’s singles championships roll of honour.
19 – He has extended his own record of grand slam wins (eight Wimbledon titles, five Australian Open titles, five US Open titles and a solitary victory at Roland Garros). Rafael Nadal is the closest to him with 15.
35 – Federer is the oldest man to win Wimbledon in the Open era. Arthur Ashe was 31 when he tasted success at SW19 in 1975.
