Ireland to renew battle with South Africa as 2017 November internationals confirmed

Fiji and Argentina are also coming to Dublin this Autumn.

JOE SCHMIDT’S IRELAND will welcome South Africa, Fiji and Argentina to the Aviva Stadium this November, with the IRFU this morning announcing the dates and ticket prices for the Autumn series.

Ireland will host the Springboks in Dublin for the first time since 2014 on Sunday 12 November before fixtures against Fiji and Argentina on Saturday 18 an Saturday 25 November.

The campaign opener will see Ireland and South Africa lock horns again after the fascinating Test series last summer which included a first Irish Test victory on South African soil in Cape Town.

It will be Ireland’s first meeting with Argentina since the 2015 World Cup quarter-final defeat to the Pumas while Fiji will be making their first appearance at the Aviva Stadium having playing three previous Tests against Ireland.

The opening game of the 2017 November Internationals against South Africa kicks off at 2.30pm with the start time for the other two outings set for 5.30pm.

While details of pre-sale and general sale dates for tickets will be confirmed in the coming weeks, the IRFU have revealed the pricing structure for the series with group packages available for all three games.

“This November’s Guinness Series promises to have some added edge with recent fixtures against South Africa and Argentina fresh in the memory,” Padraig Power, the IRFU’s director of commercial and marketing, said.

“Argentina ended Ireland’s Rugby World Cup hopes in October 2015 while the Springbok edged a thrilling Test series last June after Ireland had made history in Newlands.

“Fiji’s exciting brand of free flowing rugby will be showcased for the very first time at the Aviva Stadium as the South Sea Islanders play in Dublin for the first time since 2009.”

Agreed, Lisa De Vanna’s effort wasn’t better than Stephanie Roche… She should be on the list.. Some savage goals in there otherwise… Zlatan to win… His rocket goal for PSG this season in CL will be a contender next year too… Unbelievable player when he decides to make an effort.

Well it is from July 2012 to July 2013. So it would be even more of a disgrace if it was selected!! Next year for her!

Where is van Persie’s tilte clinching volley against Aston Villa from Wayne Rooney’s pass? One of the purest volleys you will see.

Premier League goal of the season aswell.

Di Natale goal is class… I’m surprised he was never offered a big contract by a PL team to play in England.
