Young Player of the Year back for Mayo as Boyle set for 80th appearance

Mayo host Donegal in Castlebar on Sunday.

MAYO WELCOME YOUNG Player of the Year Diarmuid O’Connor back to their starting side for Sunday’s clash against Donegal in their bid to avoid relegation.

O’Connor replaces David Drake in the only change to the side that defeated Tyrone last Sunday in Omagh.

The game will be a momentous occasion for defender Colm Boyle as the All-Star winner makes his 80th senior appearance for Mayo, having made his debut back in 2008 against Kerry.

Last Sunday’s victory over Tyrone was a major boost to Stephen Rochford’s side and they only need a point from Sunday’s tie in Castlebar to ensure that they will be plying their trade in Division 1 of the league next season.
