CHAMPIONS DUNDALK HAVE moved to bolster their squad ahead of the 2017 season with two new signings.
20-year-old Jamie McGrath has made the move from St Patrick’s Athletic while 24-year-old Niclas Vemmelund has been snapped up from Derry City.
Athboy native McGrath can operate as a midfielder or a striker. He’s been in action for St Pat’s first team since 2014 and was part of two EA Sports Cup winning sides.
Last September, McGrath got on the scoresheet during their 4-1 final win over Limerick FC. A former Ireland U19 player, he is currently a student at NUI Maynooth.
Danish native Vemmelund helped Derry City finish third in the Premier Division of last year’s SSE Airtricity League.
He’s previously been in action for clubs in Denmark, Sweden and Iceland.
