Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) – The Spurs skipper has been in terrific form and is one of the main reasons they’ve concede so few goals.
Seamus Coleman (Everton) – Just like with Ireland, the full-back has become a real leader at club level. Solid defensively and also chipped in with three goals so far.
Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal) – An ever-present in the Arsenal backline since missing the opening league game of the season.
Virgil van Dijk (Southampton) – It’s little wonder that the former Celtic centre-half is being touted for a move to one of the top four after his assured displays for the Saints.
Danny Rose (Tottenham) – Along with his Spurs team-mate Kyle Walker, the England full-back has been a key defender under Mauricio Pochettino.
N’Golo Kante (Chelsea) – A Premier League winner with Leicester City last season, the little French midfielder has continued to produce superb performances and a tireless work rate at his new club.
Ander Herrera (Manchester United) – Wasn’t a regular at the start of Jose Mourinho’s reign, but the former Athletic Bilbao man is now making United’s midfield tick.
Sadio Mane (Liverpool) – Some scoffed at the £34 million (€40m) transfer free paid to Southampton in the summer, but the Senegalese attacker has been phenomenal — chipping in with eight league goals and five assists.
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) – A world-class talent and arguably playing the best football of his career at 28. 12 goals and seven assists in 17 Premier League games.
Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – The Belgian is back to his best under Antonio Conte this term after a poor showing last year.
Diego Costa (Chelsea) – The league’s top scorer has been vital in establishing the Blues as early favourites for the title.
Substitutes: Tom Heaton (Burnley), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), David Luiz (Chelsea), Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United).
Manager: Antonio Conte (Chelsea)
