MANCHESTER UNITED WILL be facing a familiar face in the third round of the FA Cup after they were drawn to face Jaap Stam’s Reading.
Jose Mourinho’s side, the reigning champions, will host the former Netherlands and Manchester United defender’s Royals, who are currently third in England’s second tier.
The draw has produced four all-Premier League ties — West Ham v Manchester City, Everton v Leicester, Hull City v Swansea City and Sunderland v Burnley.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been handed a favourable draw: they will host a League Two side, either Newport County or Plymouth Argyle.
Arsenal face a tricky trip to Preston North End while some of the other standout fixtures include Tottenham v Aston Villa and Norwich v Southampton.
The ties will take place between 6 January and 9 January.

Not one exciting tie in the whole draw millwall and west ham missing each other by one ball was the most exciting thing about it!
@the 42 team. I never heard the FA Cup holders referred to as the “reigning champions” before. Whoever wrote that article obviously doesn’t know a lot about football.
@Sloop John G:should be the team that punished Pardew for that dance.
