No surprises in Munster team for Leinster clash

No major changes in the Munster side as captain Dennis Leamy says only recent form counts on Saturday.

MUNSTER HAVE MADE four changes to their pack ahead of Saturday’s eagerly anticipated Magners League showdown with Leinster at the Aviva Stadium.

John Hayes replaces Tony Buckley, who is out with a stomach bug, at tight head. Wian du Preez starts ahead of Marcus Horan in the front row while the anticipated return of Alan Quinlan means David Wallace drops to the bench with Niall Ronan retaining the seven jersey.

The same backline that featured in the win over Glasgow Warriors starts in a side which contains no major surprises.

Munster are unbeaten so far this season but Leinster, who are struggling for form, have an excellent recent record in these games. However that’s not something which is worrying captain Dennis Leamy.

He told Munster’s official website:

Our work this week would have been done primarily on the Glasgow game and trying to put right what we did wrong. Obviously we’ll have looked back on those Leinster games, but it’s their recent stuff that is relevant to this game. They’ll get no points for what they did last year. The points that are on offer are for this one.

Munster team to face Leinster: P Warwick; D Howlett, L Mafi, S Tuitupou, J Murphy; R O’Gara, T O’Leary; W du Preez, D Varley, J Hayes; D O’Callaghan, D Ryan; A Quinlan, N Ronan, D Leamy (CAPTAIN) Replacements: S Henry, M Horan, Darragh Hurley, M O’Driscoll, D Wallace, P Stringer, S Deasy, D Hurley.
