EDINBURGH SECOND ROW Fraser McKenzie will be the subject of a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday after being cited for dangerous play in the defeat to Munster.
McKenzie was sin-binned by referee Ben Whitehouse for a 12th minute shoulder charge on a ruck that left flanker Jack O’Donoghue needing a stretcher to leave the field. Thankfully though, the Waterford man was seen back on his feet post-match.
A Pro12 statement today says McKenzie has been cited under Law 10.4 (section h and k): Charging into a ruck and dangerous play.
McKenzie’s hearing will take place in Cardiff on Wednesday, two days before the Scottish side travel to Galway to take on winless champions Connacht.
