EX-IRELAND BOSS Eddie O’Sullivan has confirmed that he is interested in taking up the vacant England job.
O’Sullivan recently left his job as USA coach, despite overseeing some impressive performances from them at the World Cup.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the Munster man’s agent, John Baker, indicated O’Sullivan will put his name forward for the job:
“Eddie is definitely interested in the England job. The England job is one of the most high-profile positions in world rugby and they are a side with tremendous potential.“Eddie’s big advantage is that he has tremendous experience of the Six Nations and a fantastic track record in that competition.”
O’Sullivan won three Six Nations Triple Crowns with Ireland, however his time in charge was tarnished by the side’s poor showing at the 2007 World Cup.
Other coaches linked with the job include Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder and ex-Australia coach Eddie Jones.
Meanwhile, Conor O’Shea and Graham Henry have both ruled themselves out of the running.
After the highs and lows of a great Olympics we are now back to watching pampered millionaires diving, cheating and throwing tantrums. Love football but sick of all the shite that goes with it.
ahhhhhhhhhh football thank god ur back
It’s been on all Summer. Sligo are winning OUR league.
Torres scores and Ivanovic sent off already.
Good to have football back!
Was a definite red card. Dirty challenge.
That red card was very well deserved!!! Dirtbag!!!
There was nothing to charitable about that tackle!!!
Things are getting bad now . I walked past the tv and two Chelsea players fell over . Will surely be booked for diving .
