THE 2019 RUGBY WORLD Cup will be broadcast in Ireland by Eir Sport with 13 games set to be free-to-air, including Ireland’s matches and all the ties in the knockout stages of the tournament.
The announcement was made this morning in Dublin when it was revealed that Eir Sport has been launched, as part of a rebranding that sees it replace Setanta Sports.
It’s a notable broadcasting move by Eir since its acquisition of Setanta Sports Ireland.
The 2019 RWC is one of several rugby tournaments that will be broadcast on the channels.
