ALAN JUDGEโS SEASON is over after he underwent surgery on a double leg break suffered last weekend.
The Ireland and Brentford midfielder was caught late by Ipswich Townโs Luke Hyam at Portman Road and tweeted a positive update from his hospital bed during the week.
Although the 27-year-old is set to miss out on Euro 2016 because of the injury, there was some good news for him this afternoon as the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year nominations were announced.
With 14 goals and 12 assists, Judge enjoyed an outstanding campaign for the Bees before the setback and features on the three-man shortlist alongside Burnley forward Andre Gray, the leagueโs top scorer with 23 goals, and Fulham striker Ross McCormack, who has a tally of 21 goals.
The winner will be announced at The Football League awards on 17 April.

Ah poor Sir Bobby. If something wakes him, he is a nightmare to get down again
Is it just me or does anyone else dislike the idea of using a headbutt? Always seems a bit knackery to me
Roy is awful Keane on starting fights if youโll pardon the pun
Please stopโฆ.
He has proved time and time again that he has serious temper issues and has over inflated opinions of himself, but when it comes to actually doing it himself, as a manager, he canโt do it. Brilliant footballer but essentially a gobdaw
Now thatโs what I call a proper Football Bio anecdote. Granted there is a bit if the old ultra violence thrown in which may not be to everyoneโs taste. But like with most things with Keane, it ainโt dull.
And You @Lesley have grounds to Make a comment like that????Bit of a stupid thing to say.
