IT’S A MASSIVE afternoon for the Ottawa Fury.
The side from the Canadian capital face Minnesota United in the North American Soccer League championship semi-final later today and are ninety minutes away from taking on the New York Cosmos in the 2015 NASL Soccer Bowl next weekend.
The Fury have sold over 8000 tickets for the game – a league record for the post-season.
With a pair of Irish players in their ranks – captain Richie Ryan and Colin Falvey – the story has captured the attention of Dublin film-maker Neil Dowling, who has recently relocated to Ottawa.
In advance of the semi-final, Neil has put together a short film on Falvey’s unique journey from Cobh Ramblers to a NASL semi-final via stints in New Zealand and India.
It’s well worth a look.
