KERRY BOSS EAMONN Fitzmaurice reckons there is ‘a good chance’ that Tiernan McCann will feature during their All-Ireland semi-final clash on 23 August.
The Tyrone player has been hit with a proposed eight-week suspension but the Tyrone county board are set to launch an appeal.
And the Kerry manager is preparing to face McCann and has expressed sympathy for the Killyclogher club man.
“There’s been a lot made out of it this week. I feel sorry for Tiernan McCann on a personal level. We all make mistakes, these things happen.
“In one way I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t play Sunday week. Like I said he’s been a fantastic player in the qualifier games.
“He’s been outstanding for Tyrone, getting better with each game and especially the last day against Monaghan.
“I think there’s a good chance we’ll end up seeing him Sunday week somehow.”
