A CHINESE GOALKEEPER found himself in hot water after he stopped for a mid-match drink — and conceded a goal.

Chongqing Lifan stopper Sui Weijie was left floundering for an explanation following the 1-1 draw against Liaoning Whowin.

Liaoning were 1-0 down late in the game when they spotted an opportunity for a quick free-kick on the edge of the box.

While Sui took a swig from his water bottle, Ding Haifeng rolled the equaliser into the empty net.

Despite the visitors’ protests, the goal was allowed to stand. Oops.
