DIDIER DROGBA IS expected to return home from hospital this evening after he suffered a nasty head injury during Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Norwich City this afternoon.
The Ivorian was left unconscious following an accidental collision with Norwich keeper John Ruddy as the two competed for a high ball in the 64th minute.
The game, tied at 1-1, was stopped for seven minutes while Drogba was carefully treated by medical staff who gave him oxygen before removing him to hospital.
The striker later regained consciousness in hospital, and a statement from the club said that he would be released this evening following medical tests.
