THE 2019 OPEN Championship at Royal Portrush is officially a sell-out, 11 months in advance of the tournament’s tee-off.
Golf’s oldest Major returns to Northern Ireland next summer for the first time since 1951, and ‘unprecedented demand’ has seen tickets for all four championship days completely sell out, organisers said.
The only tickets which now remain are for the four pre-tournament practice days from 14-17 July.
“Any tickets made available on websites such as Viagogo, Safetickets.net, Stubhub, eBay and Gumtree are not done so with the permission of The R&A and are subject to unregulated pricing, and as such, are likely to be refused entry to the Championship,” a statement said.
