DOMINIC SOLANKE MAKES his first Premier League start for Liverpool with Mohamed Salah held in reserve at Stoke City on Wednesday night.
The U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner will operate with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, both restored to the line-up after being on the bench against Chelsea, in the front three.
Emre Can, marking his 100th league appearance for the Reds, has shaken off a knock to line up in midfield with captain Jordan Henderson rested and on the bench.
Gini Wijnaldum replaces James Milner in the centre, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain partnering him as Philippe Coutinho is rotated out.
Dejan Lovren returns to the heart of defence after sitting out the last two games through injury.
Liverpool starting XI: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Firmino, Solanke
Liverpool subs: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Milner, Henderson, Coutinho, Salah, Sturridge.

Oh well done Klippity, ruining my Fantasy Football team
@Pj Windgap: ya had him as captain. Hopefully he’ll come on in the second half and bang in a hatrick
@Pj Windgap: same here, even had him as captain
@Hardly Normal: two in the bag :)
@Hardly Normal: almost
Drops Salah….but keeps Moreno and Lovern…Jürgen Klopp ladies and gentlemen
@Brian O’Loughlin: So whats he supposed to do play Salah who is probably fatigued from all the football he has played and risk serious injury? Idiot
@Eric Djemba-Djemba: Fatigued? Silva, Hazard and De Bruyne have played a similar amount of games this season and you don’t see them being dropped. Also when your defence is as abysmal as Liverpool’s do you not need your best attackers on the pitch to outscore the opposition?
@Brian O’Loughlin: Silva and Hazard both rested tonight
@l: and Sanè ffs disaster of a night. Though I had doucoure as first sub
@Brian O’Loughlin: Kloop obviously knows Salah is his best player which means he must most definitely need a rest there is no other reason to bench him. He’s played in nearly ever league , champions league and carabao cup tie, and this mid week premier league fixture must just be to much
@Eric Djemba-Djemba: didn’t play carabao cup
@Eric Djemba-Djemba: second leg
A lot of funny comments up there. Ole hindsight.
