THE LA GALAXY are no strangers to presidential appointments.
As MLS champions, Robbie Keane and his Hollywood team-mates have been hosted by US President Barack Obama three times in the last four years.
This afternoon, they swapped the White House for Áras an Uachtaráin and a reception with President Michael D Higgins — who welcomed Bruce Arena’s men and sang the praises of their captain.
They seemed pretty excited:

They even brought an LA Galaxy jersey as a gift, though it looks like the club shop must have been sold out of the “Higgins 9″ shirt.
