JAMES KAVANAGH HAS left the Galway football panel — a little more than a year after he transferred to the Tribesmen from Kildare.
“I have given it as much as I can,” Kavanagh told Colm Keys in Wednesday’s Irish Independent.
“Between work and family now I just don’t have the five or six days to give it that you need for inter-county.”
Kavanagh joined Alan Mullholland’s squad ahead of the 2014 season and played in both the league and championship campaigns.
Prior to that, the two-time Allstar nominee represented Kildare from 2005-2012 but called time on his Lilywhites career when he settled in Galway with his family.
