ULSTER CLUB CHAMPIONS Slaughtneil have lodged a request with the GAA to change the date of their All-Ireland semi-final against Austin Stacks.
The Derry side, who defeated Omagh on Sunday to claim their first Ulster senior club title, are due to meet the Munster champions on 14 February.
A spokesperson for Derry GAA told TheScore.ie, the club has requested the game be moved to the next day as a player has a family wedding on the Saturday.
The request was made to the Central Competitions Control Committee
It’s not the first time this season a wedding has caused disruption to an Ulster team.
In September, Crossmaglen won a senior county game against players wearing jeans and taking phone calls mid-match.
