Declan Kidney’s men were in camp in a plush Kildare hotel at the same time as the La Liga outfit.

LA LIGA SIDE Villarreal were stunned by the Airtricity League’s UCD on Saturday night. But they seemed to enjoy their time in Ireland.

Staying in Carton House before their first pre-season game they met the country’s top rugby players who were also ‘in camp’ at the plush Kildare hotel.

Borja Valero and Santi Cazorla interviewed Leinster pair Luke Fitzgerald and Jamie Heaslip – and even called a couple of line-outs.
