WE KNEW THAT next summer would be Eamon O’Shea last at the helm of the Premier County hurlers.
But now we know who his successor in Tipperary will be.
O’Shea’s assistant, Michael Ryan, was last night ratified to take over in 2016. The decision was rubber-stamped at a county board meeting in Thurles.
The Upperchurch/Drombane clubman has been O’Shea’s right-hand man for the past two summers having previously worked under Liam Sheedy until 2010.
TJ Connolly and Liam Cahill were re-appointed as U21 and minor hurling managers meanwhile.
What do you think of the decision?
