ALL-IRELAND WINNING goalkeeper Damien Fitzhenry is to link up with the Wexford senior hurling squad as a selector for the 2015 season.
Fitzhenry – who won an All-Ireland senior hurling medal with Wexford in 1996 – also won Allstar awards in 1997 and 2004 during a brilliant career with the Model County.
The Duffry Rovers club man was involved in infrequently with Wexford during the 2014 season as they reached the All-Ireland quarter-finals before losing to Limerick.
Now manager Liam Dunne has opted to draft in his former teammate on a full-time basis.
Fitzhenry will replace Tomás Codd as a selector under Dunne. Work commitments have ruled Codd out but he will still keep a position as a video analyst.
