THE HALF-FORWARD line is probably the most competitive one on the field. The positioning of Michael Murphy, one of the form players in 2014, on the half-forward line was a questionable one considering he spent most of his time either in midfield or at 14.
Murphy and Footballer of the Year nominee Diarmuid Connolly appear to be almost certain to land an Allstar, leaving quite a talented list of players fighting it out for the third slot on the half-forward line.
Half-forward nominees:
Johnny Buckley (Kerry)
Diarmuid Connolly (Dublin)
Paul Flynn (Dublin)
Aidan O’Shea (Mayo)
Ryan McHugh (Donegal)
Michael Murphy (Donegal)
Donnchadh Walsh (Kerry)
Shane Walsh (Galway)
Mark Lynch (Derry)Sunday Game pundits chose:
Flynn, Connolly, McHughPrevious Allstars:
Flynn (3), O’Shea (1), Murphy (1)
It may well be a direct battle between Ryan McHugh and Paul Flynn, or should Aidan O’Shea or Johnny Buckley come into the reckoning?
Who do you reckon should be the three wing-forwards for the 2014 Allstar team?
