ANTONIO CASSANO COULDN’T have been much cooler with this penalty.
Parma trailed Udinese 2-1 in first-half stoppage time last night when Cassano dinked a panenka that brushed the underside of the crossbar on its way in.
Udinese went on to win 4-2 thanks to goals from Thomas Heurtaux and Cyril Thereau but we’re still salivating over Cassano’s deft touch.
Was it the perfect panenka? After all, there is the unwritten rule that goals which go in off the bar are extra special.
