GRAEME MCDOWELL SHOWED glimpses of brilliance during yesterday’s opening round of the RBC Canadian Open.
Nothing on the course was more brilliant than this, the shot-of-the-day eagle on the par four 11th.
That was the second hole of an incredible -4 through holes 10, 11 and 12. He followed it up with this marvellous putt for birdie on the 12th, but was soon balancing up his birdies with bogeys again with an errant tee shot on 15 leading to his fourth bogey of the day.
McDowell would settle into a par rhythm to close out his round of 68, two under par, four behind leaders Tim Petrovic and Michael Putnam.
