MANCHESTER CITY WILL be without star striker Sergio Aguero for next month’s clash against Barcelona.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini revealed today that the Argentinian will miss a month while he recovers from the hamstring injury he suffered against Spurs.
That rules him out of the Champions League last 16 first leg on 18 February as well as City’s league and FA Cup games against Chelsea.
But barring an unexpected setback he should be fit for the trip to the Camp Nou on 12 March.
Despite missing eight games with a calf injury, Aguero has scored 26 of City’s 115 goals in all competitions but Pellegrini is confident that they can replace his firepower as they chase an unprecedented quadruple.
“It will be difficult because he is a top player for us but we have the players to replace him.
“He has just come back from injury. Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko replaced him then and Stevan Jovetic can now.”
