11-year-old American Joshua Pynadath caught the club’s attention thanks to a highlights video of him playing for the De Anza Force club, while also attracting the interest of Barcelona.

Following his big move, the youngster told reporters: “I was blown away when I got the official news from Real Madrid. They told me that I was the first American that they have ever accepted into their academy. I told them that I would set a good example.”
