โSEE YIZ IN Coppers,โ seems an unlikely candidate to go down as one of the great GAA quotes but two years later and Dublin star Bryan Cullen still finds people shouting it back to him in the street.
โ[People still shout it] a little bit, yeah. Particularly with kids. Kids tend to shout it at me a lot.โ
Cullen didnโt realise the impact his words would have at the time though.
โIt was just kind of spur of the moment.
โAs Iโve said before, since Iโve been involved with Dublin we go back there and weโre either celebrating or drowning our sorrows.
โI suppose itโs the first thing that came into my head after winning the All-Ireland, that we were going to be partying for a while. Thatโs where it spawned from.โ
Cullen, who is unsure of start for Dublin as they look to win their second football title in three years on Sunday, was also coy on whether he got one of Coppersโ infamous Gold Cards, simply saying that the club always looked after the Dublin team.
Who gives a fiddlers, was that not 2 years ago. Come on mayo.
