Routinely referred to as one of the world’s best goalkeepers, Real Madrid have come close to signing the 26-year-old before, although United are reportedly still hopeful he will resist the lure of the newly crowned La Liga champions.

With Rooney seemingly surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, China or USA could be the likeliest destination for the English striker, with Everton understood to have cooled their interest in the 31-year-old of late.

5.  Andrea Belotti — Torino to Arsenal (€97 million)
