AFTER HIS SIDE edged out Dublin in a thrilling All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi final in Croke Park today, Cork’s Lorcan McLoughlin was quick to pay tribute to the vanquished Blues.
Speaking to RTE after the game, the midfielder said:
“That game had everything and it just shows all the work that’s being put in up in Dublin.

“They were outstanding and that’s the perfect preparation for an All Ireland final.”
Coming into the game though, McLoughlin said this was the kind of the challenge the Rebels expected.
“We knew exactly what we were going to get from Dublin.
“They’re a physical, fit team, outstanding hurlers and they picked off some unbelievable scores.”
The game was nip and tuck throughout with the sides drawing level no fewer than 15 times.
However, the big talking point proved to be the sending off of Dublin’s Ryan O’Dwyer after picking up his second booking of the game.
“I suppose, obviously the sending off had a baring on the game but, look, we were set up for that, the same thing happened us in the Munster final.
“I thought the lads were outstanding, the backs hurled excellently, our forwards worked hard and Danny Kearney in midfield was outstanding as well.”
