No place for James Rodriguez as Zinedine Zidane names his first Real Madrid XI

Los Blancos face Deportivo this evening.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE’S TENURE in charge of Real Madrid begins this evening as his side face Deportivo La Coruna at the Santiago Bernabéu.

He makes only two changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Gary Neville’s Valencia last week with Isco and Dani Carvajal coming into the starting XI.

It means James Rodriguez must settle for a place on the bench once against after the Colombian was an unused substitute in Rafa Bentiez’s last game in charge.

As Zidane promised in his pre-match press conference, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo all start in attack.

After Barcelona’s emphatic win earlier, Real go into this evening’s fixture five points off the La Liga leaders after 18 games.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm and the game is live on Sky Sports.

Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Kroos, Modrić, Isco; Bale, Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo.
