City with a quick response. Aguero’s shot is deflected out to the edge of the box where Fernandinho has a pop. His effort comes off Baines and loops past Robles.
Not only does this man still attend most of Manchester United’s matches, he’s happy to spend his Wednesday night out watching “the noisy neighbours”.

City substitution, and it’s Toure making way for Kevin de Bruyne.
GOAL! Manchester City 2-1 Everton (3-3 on agg) (De Bruyne)
He’s not long on the field but De Bruyne has levelled things on and put City ahead on the night. Sterling gets to the end line and possibly runs the ball out of play before cutting it back for the Belgian to finish.
Controversial goal but we’re going to extra-time if it stays like this.
GOAL! Manchester City 3-1 Everton (Man City lead 4-3 on agg) (Sergio Aguero)
Incredible. For the first time tonight, Man City are in front. De Bruyne’s cross is met by Aguero, who guides the ball past Robles with an outstanding header.

Tends to pick up injuries far too often, but when he’s fully fit City’s top scorer is unstoppable.
It’s not looking good for De Bruyne here. He looks to have suffered a bad knee injury.
