'Cocky Irish pundits' take a buttering from Welsh media after Six Nations defeat

The front cover of the Western Mail takes aim at Keith Wood and Neil Francis.

CERTAIN MEMBERS OF the Welsh media were left unimpressed by comments prior to the weekend’s big Six Nations match, it seems.

The front page of Monday’s Western Mail makes reference to “cocky Irish pundits,” and suggests Keith Wood and Neil Francis, in particular, were guilty of disrespecting the Welsh team ahead of their game with Ireland.

Former Ireland international Francis previously wrote, in his Irish Independent column, that Gatland had the “intellectual properties of a tub of flora”.

What do you think? Were comments made by Francis and Wood unfair? Let us know in the comments section below.
