Warriors are now just six games from breaking the NBA wins record

And extended their home win streak to 54 games.

THE GOLDEN STATE Warriors closed in on the Chicago Bulls’ win record as the Houston Rockets claimed an important NBA win.

The Warriors improved to 67-7 thanks to a 102-94 victory against the Washington Wizards at Oracle Arena.

They closed in on the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ 72-win record as Stephen Curry (26 points) and Draymond Green (15 points and 16 rebounds) starred.

With the victory, they extended their regular-season home winning streak to 54 games.

Meanwhile, the Rockets’ fight for a play-off spot continued with a comeback 106-100 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James Harden (27 points) led the response as the Rockets overcame a 20-point deficit against the Cavs, who were without LeBron James.

Kyrie Irving had a game-high 31 points but his team were unable to stop the Rockets, who are eighth in the Western Conference.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had their eight-game winning streak snapped after an 88-82 loss to the Detroit Pistons.

Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka were rested and the Thunder punished, with Andre Drummond (13 points and 15 rebounds) having another double-double.

Jimmy Butler made a jump shot with 3.7 seconds remaining as the Chicago Bulls ended a four-game losing run with a 98-96 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

The Orlando Magic thrashed the Brooklyn Nets 139-105 and the Charlotte Hornets crushed the lowly Philadelphia 76ers 100-85.
