MANCHESTER UNITED WILL be without Antonio Valencia for at least three months after he underwent surgery on a foot injury.
Valencia sustained the injury during last month’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City, and according to United boss Louis Van Gaal, the Ecuadorian will be unavailable until the end of February at the earliest.
“Valencia is longer term and very long,” Van Gaal told MUTV. “It is not within three months or something. It is a very heavy injury.”
The news means that Matteo Darmian is now United’s only recognised right-back.
