UFC BOSSES HAVE been forced to cut their losses and move UFC 196 off pay-per-view.
After losing headliners Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez to injury, the UFC has shifted coverage of the 6 Feburary event to Fox Sports 1.
Dana White confirmed the news to Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday, with the welterweight fight between Johny Hendricks and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson bumped up to the main event.
Champion Werdum and Velasquez were scheduled to meet in a heavyweight title rematch on the Las Vegas card, but those plans were shelved at the weekend when Velasquez withdrew with a back injury.
