Tyson Fury: Klitschko rematch 100% my last fight

The star is adamant he will not be seen in a boxing ring again after his bout in Manchester.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Tyson Fury has insisted he will “retire 100 per cent” following his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury stunned Klitschko in Dusseldorf last November, the Briton winning a unanimous points decision to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight belts.

A rematch clause was duly activated by Klitschko and the duo are due to meet again in Manchester on July 9. Yet Fury is adamant the bout will be his last.

The controversial 27-year-old revealed his intention to retire via his official Twitter account on Sunday.

I set off today for what promises to be a very hard 8 weeks training camp, this will be my best fight, then I’ll retire 100%,” wrote Fury, who subsequently outlined a desire to spend more time with his family.

Fury had expressed his frustration the previous evening as he attended his brother Hughie’s victory over Fred Kassi in London.

In an interview with iFL TV, he said: “I’m so sick of it [boxing]. I’ve got no motivation to carry on.

“Basically, I’m just doing this next fight to get a few quid in and that’s it really, I won’t be boxing again … I’m never going back to the gym again.

Look how fat my dad is, look at how fat all my brothers are, yeah? That’s how I’m going to be after this next fight. Don’t ask me to do any more interviews, don’t ask me to do any s***, because after this next fight, there is no more boxing.

“I’ve got 10 weeks of it left and that’s it, goodnight, goodbye forever. Enjoy it while you can, that’s it. The Fury-meister is out of here, for sure. I promise, because I can’t take this anymore.”
