Great gesture from Galway hurling club to raise awarness for suicide prevention

The Galway club have teamed up with suicide prevention service, Pieta House, to help raise awareness for mental health.

GALWAY SENIOR HURLING club Tommy Larkin have announced a brilliant new gesture to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

The club of Galway senior attacker Jason Flynn will carry the logo of suicide prevention service Pieta House this year.

The club secured a new sponsorship with The Galway Plate Restaurant and as part of the arrangement they will bear the name of Pieta House on the back of their jersey.

Conor Cusack is amongst those to praise the south Galway club for the initiative.

Earlier this year Killimor Hurling Club in Galway became became the first club in the county to use the ‘Mind our Men’ logo on their jersey.

The intermediate club, based in small rural village in East Galway, have been affected by suicide in recent times and club secretary Ger Lyons chose to use the Pieta House logo on the back of their jersey, as well as on the front of their newly designed training tops.
