Tomas Rosicky sets incredible record for Czech Republic in Spain defeat

The midfielder started in Monday’s 1-0 defeat by Spain to make history for his country in a unique way.

CZECH REPUBLIC MAY not have got off to the best start at Euro 2016 but Tomas Rosicky has set an incredible record for his country.

The midfielder, who has been released by Arsenal after 10 years at the club, started in Czech Republic’s 1-0 defeat by Vicente del Bosque’s side on Monday.

And at the age of 35, Rosicky became the oldest player to feature for his nation at a European Championship.

But that’s not all. Rosicky still holds the record for being Czech Republic’s youngest-ever player to appear at the tournament.

The midfielder was only 19 when he appeared at Euro 2000 and started twice in defeats by Netherlands and France as his nation crashed out at the group stage.
