TOM LAWRENCE DIDN’T make the step up at Manchester United despite spending 12 years at the club in total.
On the fringes during David Moyes’ time in charge, it wasn’t until Ryan Giggs stepped in as caretaker manager that Lawrence got his chance.

He started in the 3-1 Premier League win over Hull at the end of the 2013/2014 season – a game famous for fellow youngster James Wilson scoring twice on his debut.
But Lawrence was released just a few months later and joined Leicester. However, he’s only made a handful of appearance for the Foxes because of a litany of loan moves. He’s been at Rotherham, Blackburn and Cardiff since arriving at the King Power Stadium in September 2014 and is currently with Championship side Ipswich.
He’s enjoying himself under Mick McCarthy, though. He’s struck nine goals for the club so far this term - the latest coming against Preston in the Championship this afternoon.
Daryl Horgan came on as a second-half substitute for PNE while Aiden McGeady started for the side. Andy Boyle was also included in the match-day squad.
