Nice guy TJ Perenara absolutely makes a young fan's day after loss to Australia

All Blacks scrum half gave his boots to an awe-struck kid after the game in Sydney.

THEY SAY YOU should never meet your heroes. Unless your hero is TJ Perenara.

The All Blacks lost their Rugby Championship title in a pulsating game against Australia in Sydney yesterday, but for one young All Black fan it turned out to be the best days of his life.

A small family of New Zealanders stuck around ANZ Stadium after the final whistle, with the smallest of the bunch hoping to get a picture taken with his favourite player, TJ Perenara.

When the Hurricanes scrum-half eventually made it around to greet the fans, he made sure it was worth their wait.

Perenara took off his boots at the sideline and handed them over to the young fan, who looked absolutely awe-struck standing in for the photo, before TJ said, “See you out there one day, bro!”
