'Gregor McConnor... I hope Aldo kicks his ass' - Tito Ortiz is no McGregor fan

The former UFC champion has his say on ‘The Notorious’.

CONOR McGREGOR HAS been gaining plenty of new fans throughout his rise to the top in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but Tito Ortiz doesn’t appear to be one of them.

The former UFC light-heavyweight champion, who’s now competing for rival organisation Bellator, told Karyn Bryant of MMA H.E.A.T. that while he’s been impressed by McGregor’s ability to promote himself, he hopes to see the Irishman beaten when he takes on Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title in Las Vegas on 11 July.

Initially referring to the Dubliner as ‘Gregor McConnor’, Ortiz said: “I don’t think there’s anybody in this business that [promotes fights] better than me. Maybe Gregor McConnor… Conor McGregor. He does actually a really good job.

“There’s been some lines crossed. I hope Aldo kicks his ass, but at the same time, he’s a fast talker and he talks great. He sells it good. Congratulations to him.”

Perhaps Tito has got his back up after his ex-wife Jenna Jameson recently admitted to being ‘obsessed’ with McGregor. The UFC Hall of Famer’s comments on ‘The Notorious’ start at 6:18 in the video below…

Ok, same question as posed to Steven on the ‘other’ Sunbed Sam Henson article, seeing as the comment didn’t appear there… Which one of ye missed the editorial meeting – or are we just obsessed? ;)
